My role: UX/UI Design + Art Direction
The challenge is to combine three very successful business models under one umbrella: one digital web experience + e-commerce + an extensive video platform channel with an international reach. Beyond designing, I’m the lead project manager, consulting on Product Development, serving as an IT researcher and have produced many branding materials. The site is currently in development and is expected to launched Fall 2018.

To start, I spent a lot of time with key stakeholders, interviewing them on their vision, combing through Google Analytics, heatmaps, interviewing users, staff and customer service representatives, it’s become clear who our ideal client is and what problems they are having on their current site… giving us a starting point for designs.
From there, I tackled the Information Architecture (below) portion of UX. The IA combined with our backend needs presented a challenge because of the complexity of their membership programs, subscriptions, physical products financial business structure of all three companies. This tech deck is the most extensive I’ve worked with yet.
Keeping copious, detailed notes in a shared area online (Google Drive, AirTable and Asana), has been key to keeping information organized and has allowed team members to work on pieces no matter where they are in the world - and they travel a lot!
From there - using Balsamiq, Photoshop and InvisionApp - I produced wireframes, low and high fidelity mock-ups. Remember: due to contractual obligations, I’m unable to show clear, explanatory images until the company publicly launches. Tech: Magento 2 platform, with BrightCove video integration, Mind/Body accounts for the physical studios, Klayvio for email marketing and many Magento plugins to satisfy advanced reporting, page building flexibility, blog needs.
